Yes, dear readers, I’ve been sick yet again. My apologies for not getting out to visit your websites or to update my own. I was in bed from Thursday through Sunday and I’m still not feeling great. But I’m back to work.

Ever since that thing occurred with my last job, I’m stressed about calling in sick. Completely stressed. I keep expecting my supervisor to call me and tell me not to bother coming back.

That doesn’t help with getting well, I can tell you. The stress on top of the illness just makes it all worse.

I’m on a daily regimen of 2000 mg of vitamin C. When I get sick, I up it to 3000 (the average person takes 500 mg of vitamin C a day). This is on doctor’s orders. He said my immune system is low and the only things I can do to combat illness are to take vitamin C at high dosages (I can go up to 5000 mg a day but he doesn’t recommend that for too long) and to wash my hands constantly.

I do.

I think, though, that the change of weather brought this on. It is below 20 at night and then skyrockets to near 60 during the day. The range means that when I’m leaving for work, it’s usually around 10 degrees F (it’s currently 15 and I’ve been here for nearly an hour) and when I leave, it’s hovering around 50.

Couple that with an office that either feels like a refrigerator or a furnace (there are no in-betweens) and I’m a goner. I’m taking off and putting on clothes like crazy.

On Monday mornings, it’s so cold in my office that I have to wear a coat for most of the day. By Friday, I’m sweating and in sleaveless shirts. It’s insane!

Really, though, I do worry. I typically get sick before any of my co-workers, it hits me harder, and lasts longer for me.

Anyway…enough whining (sniffling and coughing won’t stop for a few days).

I hope this is the beginning of a wonderful week for you!
