fear
I actually got this idea from daisies. She took a series of images while at her dentist’s office and I found them charming and interesting.

The dentist, for me, symbolizes paralyzing fear and pain. I start shaking before I reach the office. My stomach is upset. My teeth are clenched. My muscles are tight. At times, I can be in the midsts of a full-on panic attack.
However, this time I went to a new dentist and told him about my anxieties. I’m also there to take care of an issue that bothers me and that limits my ability to be carefree in smiling as much as I’d like. This time I approach it with fear and with excitement.
And, luckily, my new dentist is willing to help me through both.
: ) I shiver and smile at the same time … I have the same reaction to the dentist but years ago when I started with my new guy, I expressed my fears and anxieties as well and its been fairly wonderful as they take extra care and over the years I have started to relax in the chair (uh, as relaxed as one can be in that situation) … love that you took the time to snap a photo! great shot!
