we never moved ~ growing up it drove me crazy because i couldn't wait to shake the dust of my small town off of me ... my mom was born in missouri and her dad moved all of them across the states and canada to finally settle in our small town - my mom spent most of her childhood on the road so she was happy to stay put. my dad, on the other hand was born in that same small town and so was his mom and her mom before her. i was related to half the town when i was born.

i have itchy feet and can't stand being in the same place for very long though somehow circumstance has found me settled, at least until my son is gone to university and then who knows where my feet will get to, maybe nowhere but where i am but at least its not where i was ...

i wonder if its personality or circumstance that makes it hard to stay in one place for very long ... interesting stuff!
