Those damn north-facing entryways. I had a similar mishap as I was rushing back into our townhouse yesterday to get something silly I'd forgotten. It was actually on the departure when--woosh!--suddenly my feet were no longer on the ground. I was catapulted into the mound of snow that used to be our minimalistic lawn. Ouch!

My husband and daughter were in the car and were both amazed at how fast I went down. The former rushed out to rescue me from my awkward landing and the latter, once I hobbled back to the car, asked in her two-year-old-sweetness, "Okay, Mommy?"

Now I'm feeling it in my neck every time I turn my head, but I still have that tiny concerned (and oh so sweet) voice in my head, so I guess there's a little bit of pleasure in the pain.
